Born in 1952 he owns a B.sc degree in Economics. He has series of other foreign specialises certification in corporate administration, board foresight and planning, political administration, public affairs, National conflict resolution and negotiation. He joined the new Nigeria newspaper as economic correspondent 1979 – 1983 aside that he work as editor in GASKIA and Sunday News Nigeria as editors. He was appointed the chief secretary to the president of Federal Republic of Nigeria from 1981 -1986, He was a member of the governing council of university of Nigeria Nsuka and shortly became secretary general of Kano state government. From 1989 -1993 he became the special advisor to the government on national assembly laison, between 1994 -1999.
Mr. Wonuigwe is a law graduate of the University of Lagos. With five years of legal practice as well as experience with the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) and NNPC under his belt, he enrolled at the Lagos Business School for the Chief Executive Program. Thereafter he took up a place at the Keller Business School, Devry University, and Chicago Illinois where he gained an MBA. Since then, he has undertaken specialized training in corporate administration and research in oil and gas economics, patent law, gas development, energy business financing. Mr. Wonuigwe is a high flyer in the Nigerian oil and gas industry and he has been responsible for promoting several major service companies in West Africa.
